Important: Classes for beginners are listed as Health Seeker Classes (1), classes listed with Fitness Classes (2-3) (currently exercising at least 3 days per week with no physical limitations) are for moderate to advanced exercisers. Read the description to find the class(es) that best suits your ability. Classes listed as Mind & Body Classes are good for anyone who is stressed and wants to learn to R-E-L-A-X! All Healthy Living programs are taught by certified, experienced instructors. Our goal is to help you reach your goal! Select from the Filter Section on the left under Healthy Living, either Health Seeker Classes (1) or Fitness Classes (2-3).
Yoga reduces stress, enhances breathing, relaxes and tones muscles through a mindful method of mental and physical well-being training.
This 60-minute class focuses on core stability and progression in strength training. All muscle groups are worked in each class. A variety of equipment is used and varies each week to continually challenge your body. Format is based on the latest science to effectively build strength and conditioning. Instructor is a certified Personal Trainer.
Advanced class in Pool 1. If you love boot camp on land, try it in the WATER! This class uses various water resistance tools to shape & tone muscles while giving you a great cardio workout! Get stronger without impacting your joints.
This class is designed to help improve your overall fitness and get your heart rate pumping while reducing stress on your joints!
A fun class in the warm water pool where we will be movin’ & groovin’ to a variety of music. No swimming required. This is a fun way to exercise, burn calories and get or stay fit.
Physical Education class in the pool! Using all components of the water to strengthen muscular development and cardiovascular system. Pool equipment will be used and water belts will be available for everyone. No class will be the same!
Exercise your whole body from the feet up and the inside out. This class is a moderately-paced cardio workout with exercises focusing on mobility, strength, flexibility and endurance. It is perfect for increasing your confidence with everyday activities.
Aqua Zumba blends the Zumba philosophy with water resistance, for one pool party you shouldn’t miss! There is less impact on your joints during an Aqua Zumba class, so you can really let loose. Water creates natural resistance, which means every step is more challenging and helps tone your muscles.
This class will consist of exercises for the total body to increase range of motion, flexibility and coordination for those who have arthritis.

Barre is a safe, low impact program that will tone and strengthen your body! It is safe and effective for all fitness levels. Using a combination of postures inspired by ballet and other disciplines like Yoga and Pilates, the class will focus on strength training combined with range-of-motion movements.
Blood pressure screenings will be available at various times in the main lobby. Thank you to Hefren-Tillotson for their donation of a blood pressure machine located in the YMCA lobby.

Take your fitness to the MaXX with this high intensity workout! Body weight exercises, plyometrics and high intensity intervals to build power, speed, agility, endurance & core strength. Free to members - no registration.

This is a FUN, high energy class that will mix cardio with balance, agility, coordination and body weight strength. Class format is Instructor choice.
This is an introductory class focusing on the fundamentals of yoga. If you are a beginner or just interested in a slower-paced class, this is for you. There are no pre-requisites, you don’t need to touch your toes! Classes will contain yoga poses both seated and standing (using the chair if needed as support), along with modifications of the poses to suit participants’ individual needs.
Each month will have a different focus, but the basis is STRENGTH!
If you are NEW to cycling, this class is for YOU! Featuring 30 minutes of high intensity cycling and 30 minute of strength training in a fat-burning, circuit format. A hard-hitting effective combination. Taught by a Personal Trainer. You can reserve a cycle bike up to 7 days in advance at the Welcome Desk.
This class fuses Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic workout that will blow you away!
Come experience water fitness in the deep end of the pool. Water belts are available. A great full body workout including cardio and toning segments done in the deep end of Pool 1.
This program is a new, life-changing exercise and mobility program expressly designed for people with a diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease. Led by a certified Delay the Disease instructor, the program improves the physical, mental and emotional realities of PD patients.

Why foam rolling? the practice of roling is a fascial release technique that is meant to break up tight fascia in the body. Tight fascia could be what is holding back your flexibility & injury recovery. Be prepared to have your mind blown on what is possible for core and stability work with the roller.

A light cardio workout, non-impact. Increase strength & flexibility using a variety of water exercise equipment. Gentle on the joints. Come join us in the warm water McLaughlin Pool for non-impact exercise!
This class is a blend of Yoga styles. All participants must possess self-sustained balance and must be comfortable in transitioning from standing position to the floor without support. A basic functional assessment test may be required to attend this class. Great for the beginner.

This class will help you maximize your calorie burn by using endurance training to keep you on the edge of your ability. We will focus on the Rating of Perceived Exertion Chart to understand intensity pertaining to performance.
This class will help parents AND children learn how to remain calm and manage their emotions while having FUN!
